Art Workshops

Whether you want to deepen your knowledge and skills in your craft or enjoy a workshop to  mosaic rocks, marbel fabric, explore the cement art of hypertufa, or join a group for a Wine-Y Painter classs; we are your resource to discover classes and workshops in Trinity, Shasta, Siskiyou and Humboldt Counties.  Many workshops are taught by professional artists who are experienced teachers and will advance your skills whether you are a budding artist or experienced.  
TCAC receives and forwards E-blasts from Shasta County Arts Council, North Valley Arts League, Studio 299, Tehama Arts Council and workshops offered by artists and resorts such as the Strawhouse Resorts.  Sign-up for our Art  Event Emails.

HIGHLAND ART CENTER WORKSHOPS:  HIGHLAND ART CENTER CLASSES: JILL CRUZ is back with her MOSAIC STEPPING STONE CLASS!
Join the fun ! We will start from 5:00 - 7:30 pm Friday evenings in the beautiful Highland Gardens. It consists of 2 parts. Part one is Friday, July 16th, and the other is Friday, July 23rd. Jill will supply all the materials for you to work with. We will supply a light meal and water, and you can supply your own wine or cider if you like. Jill is an accomplished teacher and artist and will show you how easy it is to make beautiful, functional stepping stones for your home and garden. EARTHDANCE ART STUDIOS & GALLERY WORKSHOPS: 
Chuck Prudhomme, is offering an introductory offer to his bi-monthly painting classes at EarthDance Studios and Gallery.  Painting classes by Chuck Prudhomme will be moved to August, dates to be announced.  The classes will be from 1 - 4, at a cost of $25 per participant.  Participants will watch Chuck demonstrate his technique on a new painting for the first half of each class, and will then benefit from Chuck's guidance as they create their own paintings. Artists who have taken Chuck's clases talk about what a great teacher he is and how encouraging his approach is for each person to bring out the best of themself with their art.  Those  interested in this ongoing twice monthly class please call Elizabeth Watson at 778-3135, email elizabethwatson1945@gmail.com or come into EarthDance Tuesday - Saturday during open hours.  EarthDance is located at 140 S. Miner St., Weaverville (corner of Oregon and Miner.)

BLACK  SMITH  CLASSES:  J. J. Jackson Museum, Weaverville
​Fire the forge, strike the anvil and hammer that steel into tools and pieces of art.  Seasoned black smith Rod Plew and Glen Grigsby are teaching the trade to beginners and experienced students.  Contact the Museum for details and schedule:
