Who we Are - What we Do

Picture
The Trinity County Arts Council  (TCAC) is at the center of many ARTS Programs in Trinity County, working through partnerships to make Trinity County an ARTs Destination.

Operating Hours:  TCAC can be reached by telephone most days from 10am - 5pm at (530) 623-2760.  Email us: trinitycountyarts@gmail.com.
Office Hours:  While we work from an office in Hyampom and the County Library in Weaverville, most of our meetings occur at YOUR place of business.  It is important for us to visit our arts population where they live and work.  So, call us and we will arrange to get together at your shop or studio or favorite coffee shop.

Our 3 Primary Objectives;
  • Art Education for Children and Adults
  • Art in support of  Cultural Tourism with increased participation in events that enable Trinity County to thrive
  • Assist the Professional and Financial development of Artists
To meet these objectives, TCAC has developed partnerships with local arts galleries, businesses, and arts organizations in neighboring counties to insure that we are the Resource Hub with the ability to provide our residents all Arts Opportunities.  Our weekly Arts Events Eblasts provide information from organizations in Trinity and the North State about
  • Live Performances and Festivals
  • Art Galleries and Festivals seeking musicians and artists to exhibit and sell their art
  • Art Classes and Workshops
You may receive our EBLASTS by emailing a request to trinitycountyarts@gmail.com.

The Trinity County Arts Council was formed in 1995 and was recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit, formed in 2009.  TCAC is governed by a Board of Directors and the Bylaws.   There are 2 paid part time staff members, the Executive Director and a Bookkeeper. The  bi-monthly Board meetings are public and advertised in the Trinity Journal newspaper and on our Facebook page as an EVENT.    We include a ZOOM link so that
all interested parties can attend.

The ARTS Council depends upon Memberships, Grants and Donations to produce our many Programs.  You can support your favorite Arts Programs by donating to the Arts Council or Volunteering.

BOARD MEMBERS:
Our Board Members represent the interests of our diverse regions and are comprised of educators, artists, and local businesses.

DONATE
Our Events, Programs, and Support of our community is funded through grants, memberships, and donations.  Our primary funder is the California Arts Council / National Endowment of the Arts. They provide US a 1:1 dollar match for every dollar that we receive.  So, your $10 becomes $20.  AND, in our remote and tiny community, we are scraping for every dollar so that we can provide events and opportunities to the Trinity County community for FREE.  All people can access ALL of our programs.
We appreciate your generosity.
          THANK YOU.
