The days are getting shorter, there is a chill in the air, winter is upon us. The Festival of Light Arts & Crafts Event is just the celebration we need to bring in the light, warm the body and soul and bring cheer to the advent of the darker months. On Saturday, November 8, from 10 – 4 at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Weaverville, you can enter a world where you can get out of the cold, enjoy a warm welcome, take in the sights and sounds of holiday festivities and the tantalizing smells of a delicious soup lunch by URok Bakery to warm your body and feed your soul. This festival features over 25 of the area’s best vendors, selling everything from holiday décor to treasures for special holiday gifts to baked goods to festoon your holiday table. You can add to your treasures with winnings from the Dutch auction with 20 tickets for just $10.00. The soup lunch, which includes homemade soup, a roll, a dessert and water is only $8.00. There is no entrance fee. Just come on in and enjoy!
You will feel like you’ve been transported back in time to when life was simpler, and you can enjoy the strong sense of community in a small town. And, if this were not enough, you will also be supporting art and music scholarships for Trinity County children with proceeds from the vendor booth fees, Dutch auction tickets, and the soup lunch. So come on down to the Festival of Light Arts & Crafts Event, let go of your cares, relax and enjoy the day. The Vets Hall is located between the Sheriff Station, and the Department of Education, just up from the High School. Look for the Festival of Light event signs.
Come join us, enjoy the tradition and support the children of Trinity County. If you have questions you can call 530-778-3135 or 530-739-9990.
