April 13: Shasta-Trinity National Forest packers slide presentation on the agency’s use of pack animals in the Trinity Alps and other Trinity County trails at the Trinity County Historical Society meeting and potluck at the First Baptist Church, 1261 Main St., Weaverville. Potluck at 2 p.m., presentation at 3 p.m.
April 13: Hayfork Booster Club and Trinity County Fair Calcutta & Dinner. Doors open at 4 p.m., serve dinner at 5 p.m., and begin the auction at 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from Booster Club members and TCFA Board Directors, $100 each, which includes a catered Italian dinner for up to four people.

This is a free event, including various booths with activities, inflatables and a free barbecue lunch. Families and children of all ages are welcome, but no pets are allowed. This is a tobacco, drug and alcohol-free event.
