ART CRUISE VENUES
Celebrating the Art of Love - or Love of Art; February
5:00-8:00 PM
5:00-8:00 PM
The Art Cruise, 1st Saturday of every month, provides art galleries, specialty shops, and eateries an opportunity to invite the community in “after hours” to enjoy unique hand-crafted art and jewelry, meet the artists, while enjoying refreshments and, possibly, live music.
The COVID Pandemic has altered our approach, but not our enthusiasm. With Valentines Day around the corner, and Trinity County “In the Pink”, many businesses showcasing art are participating in the Cruise with extended hours of 5 to 8pm.
The Trinity County Arts Council is pleased to welcome our newest art venue,
TRINITY ARTS & CRAFTS SUPPLY CO.
Featuring paper, paint, needle crafts, and more. Come in and check out our crafts for Valentines.
TRINITY COUNTY BREWING COMPANY
Featuring Jessica Willis
Jessica's work is created while immersing herself in nature and translating her experiences into colorful, expressive paintings. Through a unique layering technique developed by exploring many paint mediums, the work shows the movement and energy of the subject, usually landscapes in a particular moment in time. Jessica was first introduced to plein air painting when she moved to Shasta County in 2015 and studied under local artist Chuck Prudhomme, Howard 'Luke' Lucas and Susan Graves.
She puts her own twist on plein air painting by attempting to capture natural elements in acrylic paint. The light of the sun and moon, the subtle movements of plants blowing in the wind, and the flow of a river become the subject during camping and fishing trips. Jessica graduated with a BFA from Ohio State University in 2013 before moving to Shasta County in 2015. She now resides in Southern Humboldt where she teaches art classes, farms and paints and designs gear for adventures with original patterns.
