Art in Schools: Internship Program
The Trinity Arts Council has joined forces with the Trinity Together Cradle to Career Program (TTCCP) whose mission is to collaborate, as an education-business community partnership, to create career pathways for all Trinity County students, as our future workforce. We began on the ground floor as part of the steering committee to develop the vision and goals. Today, the TCAC works with the Digital Arts Pathway to shed light on the many career opportunities in the Creative Economy.
As in most small rural communities, TCAC sits on many committees, including the TTCCP, Trinity High School's Career Technical Education Advisory Committee, and the Chamber of Commerce. We work with the Digital Arts/Marketing teacher to create opportunities for students to job shadow or engage as interns with local businesses to support their marketing programs. Students' knowledge of web design, graphic arts, creative writing, video and photography are used to help businesses create advertisements, social media promotions, and events production. The student's support of local businesses create work products for their future resumes.
If your business is interested in mentoring students in your line of work, contact Trinity Together Cradle to Career.
