If you have never experienced creating chalk art, this is your chance!

Working outdoors, large scale, on a vibrant artistic creation to be shared with the public.

You will be supplied with a 3'x3' minimum size concrete canvas, pastel chalk, and special chalk art tools.

This event, being held on the same date as the Art Cruise featuring the Young Artist Showcase reception, is open for student and community participation.  Chalk art is a popular event in many communities and we hope fo this to be the beginning of an annual public art opportunity here in Trinity County.

Space is Limited, so, if you are interested in being a participant, we will need your application no later than Friday, March 23rd.  The sidewalk spaces for individual and group participants will be outlined and numbered, the numbers assigned at the sign-in table outside of the Highland Art Center.  RAIN CANCELS the event.

Participants will benefit from having a theme and design ready for the event.  Please review the entry form before deciding on your subject or theme.  Groups with several participants may choose to create a mural-style image which would flow from one section into the next, maintaining a sense of unity.  To see examples of other chalk art events, search
