Funding and partners.
The Trinity County ARTS Council is a catalyst for art, culture and tourism in Trinity County.
As a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Trinity County Arts Council depends upon the generosity of grants, membership donations, and fundraisers for our operating capital.
Traditionally, 60% of our operational funding has been supplied by grants from the California Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts from the sale and renewal of ART License Plates. (visit CAC website) We rely heavily upon grant funding from the local tourism tax that is awarded by the Trinity County Board of Supervisors. Additionally, we have been the fortunate recipients of several "project related grants" from the Mc Connell Foundation, the Trinity Trust Summer Youth Program, and the Humboldt Area Foundation's Native Cultures Fund.
As state and federal funding has diminished, we have turned to local businesses for support of our special projects. Specific projects that have been funded by corporate donors can be seen in the NEWS section of our website. Umpqua Bank remains our most generous donor having provided the Arts Council $2,000 from which we have established a "Community Outreach" account enabling us to sponsor and produce numerous workshops: Alchemical Mandalla, Pantomime Workshops for two after school programs, Paula Masterman's Beading Workshop, Watercolor with Evelyn Mercer Ward, and others. Umpqua Bank continues to nourish the ARTS community and our Art in Education Program as well as participating in our monthly Art Cruise. We are also indebted to Scott Valley Bank, Coast Central Credit Union, and CVS Pharmacy are sponsors for “ArtReach” that brings crafts projects to senior citizens and the “Celebration of Native American Art & Culture” event. We credit North Valley Bank, for providing the start-up capital for our Art in Education fundraiser, "Kards 4 Kids".
Today, with diminishing funds from state and federal sources, we are depending upon local support and the tax deductible donations from residents, and art lovers who benefit from the Arts Culture in Trinity County.

reorganized, moved our office to the Main Street Gallery, and incorporated in 2005. April 2011, as part of our effort to establish the purpose and identity of the Arts Council, we chose to move our office to a business environment. We now share the building with the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce at 509 Main Street, Weaverville, providing us an opportunity to be directly involved with the businesses and events of the county.
The members of the TCAC Board are volunteers and are governed by the TCAC Bylaws. There are two paid part time staff members, the Executive Director and a Bookkeeper. The monthly Board meetings are public and are advertised in the Trinity County newspaper and on our website (trinitycountyarts.org), encouraging all to participate. The Trinity County Arts Council is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation located in the city of Weaverville, Trinity County, California.

It is our stated policy that diversity in Trinity County society is a source of strength for all of our residents; it should be nurtured in all aspects, especially the cultural.
